Please join us for a hands-on collage art day (**). In the workshop you will be taught various collage techniques, then will have the afternoon to cut and paste your own unique collages, just in time for the holidays!
This one time offer includes all collage materials, but please bring food and drinks to share!
(**) A great excuse to get together with friends, to celebrate the beginning of the holidays and to make art!
DESCRIPTION
Participants will work with paper, glue and other collage materials including rubber stamps, colored pencils, 3-dimensional pieces, and wire. Margot will teach an introduction to collage techniques, show some examples of artist’s collages and will help you to create your own one-of-a-kind compositions.
Please consider bringing images and materials to incorporate that are meaningful or appealing to you. All other materials, such as papers, adhesives, scissors, will be provided.
BIO
Margot Hartford is a mixed media artist who constructs 3-dimensional light boxes, produces paper, paint and photo collages, and who also experiments with encaustic wax painting. Margot is currently teaching one-day encaustic painting workshops in Marin County. More information can be found on her website: mhartford.com.
